In Haiti, adult illiteracy is over 40%. A mother who can't read can't help her daughter with schoolwork. A farmer who can't read can't check a fertilizer label. For 43 years, FLM Haiti has been opening that door.
Our Programs
Staffed by up to 103 Haitian educators offering instruction in arithmetic, reading, and writing. Government-certified across 11 communities. Up to 1,256 graduate every year.
Our Pre-K through Grade 13 school in Thomassin serves 650 students β boys and girls β with a full curriculum and a daily meal.
Skill development combined with public health instruction, business training, and mentorship. Graduates launch small enterprises.
Every FLM teacher is Haitian. We invest in their continued training, certification, and professional growth β because the best classroom is a well-supported teacher.
