"Before the class, I couldn't sign my own name at the bank. Three years later, they hired me to teach."
Marie started at an FLM literacy center in Kenscoff in 2019. Two years later, she graduated. The following year, she was invited back to teach. Today she leads a classroom of 24 adult learners — most of them mothers — who are learning to read for the first time.
